Work out your weighted average purchase price across several transactions, the current result of the position and the price at which you break even.
Position Size Calculator

Tax rules stop at the border. Pick a country and we will show the calculators that actually apply to you.

Work out federal and state tax on a stock sale, including the short-term versus long-term difference and the 3.8% net investment income tax.
UK capital gains tax and ISA calculator
See the CGT due on a share sale after the annual exempt amount, and how much of it an ISA would have saved you.
Why calculators, when we publish investment theses
Invesaro does something else: we put up investment theses, describe the market mechanism, name the companies and settle the result in public. But before anyone starts judging someone else’s thesis, they need their own numbers: what is actually left after tax, what a management fee does over twenty years, and how large a single position can be before a mistake really hurts.
These calculators are entirely free and need no account. Nothing is sent to a server, all the maths runs locally in your browser. Treat them as a sample of how we approach investing: stated assumptions, stated formulas, and no pretending the future can be predicted to two decimal places.
What these tools will not do
No calculator will tell you whether a company is a good investment. They all compute scenarios from assumptions you type in, so the result is only as good as those assumptions. A constant rate of return does not exist in nature, and inflation and taxes can change the picture more than the choice of fund.
These tools are not investment or tax advice. Tax rates and allowances change every year and differ between countries, which is why wherever possible we expose them as editable fields. For bigger decisions, confirm the result with an adviser.
Numbers are one thing, a thesis is another
Invesaro publishes investment theses with a hard publication date, an edge score and a basket return tracked against the market. Free and in public.
